Opus Utility Solutions are working on SPEN’s project in the Minffordd area. We have been preparing for the four-way lights at the Minffordd roundabout for a number of weeks. This is, unfortunately, one of the most difficult sections due to its location.
From this evening (Wednesday 2nd of July) work on the road will be carried out on double shifts with a second team that are going to work from 19:00 – 00:00 in the areas that do not have residents in order to get past this difficult section.
The lights were erected yesterday (Tuesday 1st of July) and moving forward will continue to have lights staffed 07:00 – 19:00 which will allow them to manually control for either direction If we start getting back-ups.
Opus aim to get the 4-way lights down after the first week which will then have 2-way lights heading down into Penrhyndeudraeth until the 18 July. This will be the Summer embargo period where we will be moving to the road closure on the A496
