A message from Lee Paul – CEO of Snowdonia Aerospace

Dear All

Please note our customer confirmed, as of yesterday afternoon, that they intend to undertake their first MOD noise Trial at Snowdonia Aerospace Centre, Llanbedr Airfield, on this occasion with the Texan, from Monday 14th August through to Friday 18th August.

The current Schedule if for the set up of the Trials Equipment (including crane (which will arrive around Monday lunchtime) with 77m jib) to take place on the Monday and Tuesday with Texan flying to commence Wednesday morning through to Friday lunchtime / early afternoon. There will be a single Texan operating doing a number of sorties during these 3 days. The trial will finish Friday afternoon. Flying will take place between 0830 and 1730 each day. The details may be subject to change dependant on the weather.

Unfortunately we are unable to share any further information regarding the Trial at this stage.

I can confirm our Danger Area (Restricted Airspace) will be active during Wednesday through to Friday to support this Trial.

I can further advise a number of local contractors and suppliers are supporting this Trial also.

Further Trials are anticipated using different aircraft throughout August and September (subject to the weather and availability etc) and we will provide you with updates on these Trials as soon as we have further details.

Regards

Lee
